Our church is very popular with photographers. On sunny days before midday, when light streams in through the big east window, the cameras on most modern phones will be able to take reasonable pictures.
However at other times the natural light can be limited in
the church so longer exposures are needed. Professional
photographers will have their own tripods and remote shutter
releases, but for amateurs an easy way of taking pictures is to
balance your camera on a pew corner and use its timer delay
feature to release the shutter - this minimises camera shake
from pressing the shutter button.
Please note that the copyright of pictures taken in the
church remains with the church. If you are thinking of selling
your pictures please contact the Churchwarden or Rector so that
we can provide you with appropriate authorisation. (Obviously
this does not apply to wedding photographers selling just to
wedding guests.)
If you are proud of your photographs and would like to help
the church please can you upload them here. We can occasionally
use them for publicity, postcards and Christmas cards. If we do
use them we will of course credit you as photographer.
